Major Barna hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaby Batistuta's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Roulin in the 27th minute. Aurelio Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Aurelio Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaby Batistuta did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Fodor Daniel 33 minutes into the match. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Astudillo having to interfere. Aurelio Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Katona Janos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Gerard Roulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Gaby Batistuta made the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Astudillo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hegedus Henrik went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With his leg Aurelio Astudillo managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Hungary's Balazs Lajos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelio Astudillo made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Don Malbec's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. In the 74th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. Aurelio Astudillo made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Black Black hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hungary were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
