Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Gavino Aguirre sent off a good shot on target. Gavino Aguirre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Gavino Aguirre got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gavino Aguirre might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Vittori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gavino Aguirre ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Aguirre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavino Aguirre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. In the 30th minute Toronto Marlies FC were awarded a corner. Qin Xing Shu went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gavino Aguirre in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Vittori saved Italy from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anfilogino Amicone. Toronto Marlies FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaccheo Andolina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Deodato Magliozzi with Siricio Liotta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Anfilogino Amicone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siricio Liotta in the 41st minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavino Aguirre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gavino Aguirre struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Italy booed when Toronto Marlies FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelly Pearson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Passarelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Vittori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toronto Marlies FC's Anfilogino Amicone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Toronto Marlies FC from getting a goal against them. Adriano Curto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Anfilogino Amicone made a huge save. Gomberto Picozzi made in the 89th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sansone Vanella immediately put the ball in play. Léopold Thomas made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Daniel Passarelli. Anfilogino Amicone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Curto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toronto Marlies FC's Qin Xing Shu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eliseo Cutri, made in the 94th minute of the game. Italy played a much better game than Toronto Marlies FC and deserved their victory. The Toronto Marlies FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
