Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clayton Pedron, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. If Clayton Pedron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute, Clayton Pedron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clayton Pedron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Clayton Pedron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Clayton Pedron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clayton Pedron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. Clayton Pedron scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Clayton Pedron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Clayton Pedron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diguinho Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 63rd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Clayton Pedron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clayton Pedron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After a rather tough play, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Adam Eversden got a free kick in the 78th minute. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes, Clayton Pedron made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Clayton Pedron took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
