Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 2nd minute of play. After 4 minutes of play, Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Leopoldo Rosa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 8th minute of the match. Victoriano Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Dep Colonia Avellaneda getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Florencio Carlomagno hit a great ball. Victoriano Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 14th minute of the match. Mariano Silbestre hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Victoriano Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 27th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victoriano Bernaldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Mariano Silbestre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Silbestre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Bernaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Victoriano Bernaldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wim Wilmes scored 1-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a precise shot to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The Dep Colonia Avellaneda players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Victoriano Bernaldo threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victoriano Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Silbestre in the 63rd minute of play. When Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Darryl Buckner in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 76th minute Darryl Buckner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victoriano Bernaldo. Victoriano Bernaldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wei Li hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victoriano Bernaldo. Victoriano Bernaldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Dep Colonia Avellaneda from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 93rd minute of play forced Dep Colonia Avellaneda's goalkeeper Victoriano Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Wim Wilmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Silbestre in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. The Dep Colonia Avellaneda supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Netherlands's performance. The match ended with a win for Netherlands.
