Tommy Kahn came out and tried to block the shot, but Gerónimo Molina slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Tommy Kahn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gerónimo Molina showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. A very nice done corner allowed Mörður Filt to score against Tommy Kahn in Germany's goal. 3-0 after 21 minutes. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Gerónimo Molina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerónimo Molina, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Gerónimo Molina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Peñarol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerónimo Molina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerónimo Molina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gerónimo Molina made the kick off in the second half. Gerónimo Molina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When C.A. Peñarol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 66 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Gerónimo Molina came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Gerónimo Molina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Gerónimo Molina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When C.A. In the 77th minute of the match Berkan Berka sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn skillfully saved the ball. In the 95thth minute of the game Anselmo Velin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
