Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Portugal's Viriato Moura started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emilio Porta kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Felipe Barreto's late challenge caught a Squadra de Pippe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Barreto helped the player get up and apologised. Felipe Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Stanislovas Skripkauskas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Squadra de Pippe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanislovas Skripkauskas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute Francesco Andreoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes Squadra de Pippe got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Di Carlo. When Andrea Di Carlo came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Squadra de Pippe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrea Di Carlo couldn't finish the play. Imre Dárdai hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Daniel Pimentel hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filippo Gigli. In the 25th minute, Graciano Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filippo Gigli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filippo Gigli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 29th minute Filippo Gigli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrea Di Carlo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Felipe Barreto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bruno Mazzone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Gigli in the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Squadra de Pippe getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Antonio Cabrini hit a great ball. Bruno Mazzone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrea Di Carlo was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Filippo Gigli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Squadra de Pippe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippo Gigli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Mazzone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Antonio Cabrini, made in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 64th minute, Antonio Cabrini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Gigli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Mazzone was a little too slow when Felipe Barreto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-2. Squadra de Pippe's Demetrio Colangelo was substituted for Filippo Gigli. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrea Di Carlo in the 78th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolomeu Dias in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Mazzone saved Squadra de Pippe from getting behind. Bruno Mazzone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartolomeu Dias's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. With his leg Bruno Mazzone managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 85 minutes Squadra de Pippe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Pimentel who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Pimentel made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that Squadra de Pippe's Bruno Mazzone managed to reach the ball for a save. Andrea Di Carlo scored 2-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
