The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Bernard Kufner made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. Sigfrido Auletta came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernard Kufner could save by the left post. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karlo Radonić in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Italy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
