Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konrad Kruusamäe in the 18th minute of play. After 19 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Güngör Rasif who took care of the corner kick. 20 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Konrad Kruusamäe came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Aytuğ Çelen sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Aytuğ Çelen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aytuğ Çelen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The supporters of Netherlands booed when AN&KARASİPAHİLER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Maldini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Aybars Muhsin made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.
