The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlo Taranto got free with Flavio Vittori in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute Konstantin Butylin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantin Butylin in the 8th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaf Albohm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Gladiator FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfrido Auletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gladiator FC's goalkeeper Gustaf Albohm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Zaccheo Andolina made a precise shot to the right of Gustaf Albohm. Gladiator FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gomberto Picozzi hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Gladiator FC's Konstantin Butylin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gladiator FC's Gustaf Albohm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 24th minute of play. Flavio Vittori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstantin Butylin in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Gladiator FC's goal looked a bit too open when Siricio Liotta came free, but Gustaf Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustaf Albohm. Gladiator FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaccheo Andolina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Zaccheo Andolina scored 0-3 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustaf Albohm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustaf Albohm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 35th minute of play. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. After 42 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Gomberto Picozzi. If Zaccheo Andolina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gladiator FC's Michael-Elvis Flumian was substituted for Cosimo Eleuteri. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Konstantin Butylin made the kick off in the second half. Gustaf Albohm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zaccheo Andolina showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 52 minute of play. Zaccheo Andolina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Albohm having to interfere. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Carlo Taranto sped through Italy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Gladiator FC's Gustaf Albohm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Curto in the 89th minute of play. Italy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Siricio Liotta in the 90th minute. After taking down the ball on Italy's corner Siricio Liotta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustaf Albohm quite easily take care of the ball. Gustaf Albohm was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Adriano Curto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adriano Curto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Italy played a much better game than Gladiator FC and deserved their victory. The Gladiator FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
