Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Samuele Kunz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Hias Nüssli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nikos Sterpis went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 7 minutes, Omiros Simos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico de Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omiros Simos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Atletico de Madrid's Segundo Maule to fire away a dangerous shot which Hias Nüssli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With his leg Hias Nüssli managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Atletico de Madrid's Giannis Dimitropoulos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 19 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Sterpis came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giannis Dimitropoulos got a throw-in 21 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Giorgos Fytanidis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikos Sterpis during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Nikos Sterpis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Frans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuele Kunz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Giannis Dimitropoulos in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hias Nüssli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A sloppy throw-in by Giannis Dimitropoulos in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Switzerland's Samuele Kunz. Charis Sakalakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hias Nüssli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Atletico de Madrid getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nikos Sterpis hit a great ball. After 36th play minutes Giannis Dimitropoulos shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Hias Nüssli and just under the crossbar into goal. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omiros Simos in the 40th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Giannis Dimitropoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hias Nüssli was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Atletico de Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Maule didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giannis Dimitropoulos to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giannis Dimitropoulos in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hias Nüssli saved Switzerland from getting behind. The Atletico de Madrid fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Atletico de Madrid's Nikos Sterpis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 62nd minute, Giannis Dimitropoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo von Känel kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Dimitropoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Vassilis Tsopelas fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico de Madrid's protests and gave Vassilis Tsopelas a yellow card for diving instead. Vassilis Tsopelas hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 69 played minutes, Switzerland's Rodrigo von Känel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcelo Frans came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Switzerland reached it. The audience was convinced that Giannis Dimitropoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hias Nüssli was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 74th minute Nikos Sterpis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hias Nüssli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikos Sterpis in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the match, Giannis Dimitropoulos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giannis Dimitropoulos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Dimitropoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Nikos Sterpis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hias Nüssli was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Dimitropoulos in the 87th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Hias Nüssli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Sterpis in the 89th minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Atletico de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vassilis Tsopelas to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Frans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuele Kunz in the 96th minute. Atletico de Madrid's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
