After having played for 12 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 14th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Eddie Van Halen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Van Halen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linus Schwerner made a great header on Germany's corner, it was just that Independiente's Eddie Van Halen managed to reach the ball for a save. The Germany fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Germany's Linus Schwerner looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Germany's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fulgencio Senen 31 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. Eddie Van Halen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 43rd minute of play. Independiente's Eddie Van Halen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 44th minute of play. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Senen in the 48th minute of play.

Gabirel Christbo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 59th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Eddie Van Halen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Senen in the 60th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eddie Van Halen, 5-2. Sven Krakouer hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 肖希谦 in the 69th minute of play. 6-2 became the score in the 73rd minute when 袁风奕 elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Germany's Frank Sachs slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eddie Van Halen. That made the score 6-3 after 77 minutes of play. 肖希谦 succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 7-3. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Eddie Van Halen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany.
