In the 6th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Trzenzalski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Selçuk Özgebay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Ema City's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Bartosz Trzenzalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Carneiro in the 17th minute. José Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Carneiro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute José Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartosz Trzenzalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 24th minute of play. Bartosz Trzenzalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After 34 minutes, José Carneiro made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bartosz Trzenzalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 40th minute of play. Bartosz Trzenzalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Caetano Moreira struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Bartosz Trzenzalski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. Bartosz Trzenzalski was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Felipe Barreto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felipe Barreto really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 61st minute, José Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ema City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The audience was convinced that José Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Ema City's José Carneiro. But to his dismay, José Carneiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. José Carneiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. In the 73rd minute José Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maciej Parzysz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Raul Caetano got a free kick in the 86th minute. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selçuk Özgebay in the 88th minute of play. Ema City's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
