Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Pancho to make the kick off. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Angelo Fresnos made a huge save. In the 92nd match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yves Dervaux to maneuver through the defense. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Elvio Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Pancho in the 96th minute of play. Belgium were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
