After having played for 12 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rene Chale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 15th minute of the match. Antal Valentin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rene Chale having to make a save. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Chale having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Balazs Lajos came free, but Rene Chale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Rene Chale in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by 冯岩默 in the 76th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Goyo in the 79th minute of play. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Rene Chale made a huge save. Takacs Tibor hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Artemio Filipo managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Artemio Filipo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rene Chale made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute, Raul Goyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Takacs Tibor struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Rene Chale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Filipo in the 96th minute of play. The Hungary players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented River Plate from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
