Daniel Banaszak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The Valencia CF Mindszent fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Banaszak should have stopped the shot. Lázár Lévay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Sinclair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano Curto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Banaszak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. With 90 minutes on the clock, Maurício Monsanto commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 91 played minutes Valencia CF Mindszent got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Monsanto. It was beautiful to see Italy's Deodato Magliozzi in action when he in the 92nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! A sloppy throw-in by Andri Shevchenko in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
