Jacek Penc charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Miguel Gonzales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Sansone, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Miguel Gonzales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 19th minute of the match. After 23 played minutes CA Boca Jrs MdP got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Gauargi. Miguel Gonzales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Isaias Gaitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Gonzales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 29th minute of play. If Abelardo Sansone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Gonzales. CA Boca Jrs MdP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaias Gaitano to make the kick off. Miguel Gonzales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Gaitano in the 56th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Sansone in the 62nd minute of play. CA Boca Jrs MdP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mauricio Fonda in the 63rd minute. With a little luck, CA Boca Jrs MdP's Miguel Gonzales got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by CA Boca Jrs MdP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Ezequiel Gauargi's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Gauargi helped the player get up and apologised. Ezequiel Gauargi hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. CA Boca Jrs MdP made a substitution. Diego Cagna replaced Alexandru Racoviță. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Fonda in the 76th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes CA Boca Jrs MdP got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Gauargi. In the 82nd minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Mooiweer to maneuver through the defense. In the 91stth minute of the game Isaias Gaitano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
