In the 3rd minute Gilabert Boñal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hias Nüssli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jacinto Maurer came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Switzerland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Maurer couldn't finish the play. Jacinto Maurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Silviano having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Jefferson Donato took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Hias Nüssli to make any attempt to save it. In the 20th minute, Federico Wiesendanger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Petardo Futebol e Surf's Telmo Vasconcelos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hias Nüssli. Hias Nüssli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Gilabert Boñal took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Hias Nüssli to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Telmo Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petardo Futebol e Surf's supporters rose to their feet, but Telmo Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hias Nüssli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 played minutes Petardo Futebol e Surf got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Matorin. After having played for 39 minutes, Gilabert Boñal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petardo Futebol e Surf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilabert Boñal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Switzerland's Jacinto Maurer got a free kick in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jacinto Maurer hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilabert Boñal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Switzerland defense, Telmo Vasconcelos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hias Nüssli. The Switzerland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hias Nüssli should have stopped the shot. After 55 minutes, Gilabert Boñal made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Telmo Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jefferson Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, Petardo Futebol e Surf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Olof Utfal to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Gilabert Boñal came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilabert Boñal in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hias Nüssli saved Switzerland from getting behind. If Gilabert Boñal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilabert Boñal in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Gilabert Boñal came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hias Nüssli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilabert Boñal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hias Nüssli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilabert Boñal, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Rodrigo von Känel kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Gilabert Boñal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hias Nüssli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Rodrigo von Känel hit a great ball. 95 minutes in the game, Telmo Vasconcelos dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Petardo Futebol e Surf fans cheered their team off the field, for while Switzerland had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
