The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bakos Endre made in the 27th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Balazs Lajos however managed to control. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberigo Prosperi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fodor Daniel having to make a save. FC Kraków1983's Alberigo Prosperi got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the FC Kraków1983 defense, Major Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zenon Niezywy. The FC Kraków1983 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zenon Niezywy should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute Alberigo Prosperi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Zenon Niezywy in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zenon Niezywy made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Hegedus Henrik sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute Alberigo Prosperi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antal Valentin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zenon Niezywy having to make a save. Alberigo Prosperi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot 80 in the game by Antal Valentin from a close distance when the talented Zenon Niezywy managed to make a qualified save. FC Kraków1983's players were relieved. Zenon Niezywy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 84th minute of the match. Edmund Loncki kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Zenon Niezywy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Alberigo Prosperi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Kraków1983 getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Wlodzimierz Januszewski hit a great ball. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zenon Niezywy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Kraków1983 throughout the match.
