Tanek Bobrowski took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silviu Novac got free with Tommy Kahn in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ulf Nordlander's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tommy Kahn firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Nordlander in the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Albin Holweck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Germany fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Novac in the 38th minute of play. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, one of Germany:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Germany. The goalkeeper, Tommy Kahn, was totally fooled by DIF LEEDS BK's Silviu Novac, who 43 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 51 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sachs. A collision led to DIF LEEDS BK getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Östen Hedin hit a great ball. Germany were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after DIF LEEDS BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. The DIF LEEDS BK players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
