Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jens-Ove Lindsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Erling Johansson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tommy Kahn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jens-Ove Lindsten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 31 minute of play. In the 39th minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Spets in the 42nd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Noel Simão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Köppens Kamrater and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Germany booed when Köppens Kamrater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ove Lindsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Eric Olsson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 62nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrich Stein to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 66 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermínio Meireles scored 6-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the game, Eric Olsson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Germany's Janik Vogt quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jens-Ove Lindsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Jens-Ove Lindsten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ove Lindsten, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Vilgot Hagström made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Germany's Janik Vogt. Frank Sachs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Dan Falkrantz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Ove Lindsten's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Lindsten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the game, Adrian Dreifuss was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Köppens Kamrater the free kick. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Köppens Kamrater had played much better football throughout.
