Metanse el Sim por culo's Celio Tijero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 9th minute of play. Celio Tijero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Feliciano Cedron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 played minutes, Denmark's Chris Nygaard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celio Tijero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Denmark reached it. Celio Tijero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Steen in the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Metanse el Sim por culo getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Chiguire Schwanberger hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Metanse el Sim por culo's Victor Angosto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Keld Paulsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Denmark's Lars Steen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roger Garavito, made in the 23rd minute of the game. After having played for 27 minutes, Bertram Svenningsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertram Svenningsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celio Tijero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Metanse el Sim por culo defense, Bertram Svenningsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celio Tijero. The Metanse el Sim por culo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celio Tijero should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Roger Garavito in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Olav Graversen. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Nygaard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celio Tijero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bjarne Kirkegaard in the 56th minute. Celio Tijero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bertram Svenningsen's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The supporters of Denmark booed when Metanse el Sim por culo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiguire Schwanberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Denmark's Celio Tijero threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chris Nygaard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Metanse el Sim por culo's Erramu Huera got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Bertram Svenningsen came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertram Svenningsen couldn't finish the play. If Ivan Fidalgo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ikatz Almuzara during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chris Nygaard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Denmark's Lars Steen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Celio Tijero but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Metanse el Sim por culo's Celio Tijero got control of the ball when Bertram Svenningsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th minute, Erramu Huera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Metanse el Sim por culo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When the match was over Denmark could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Metanse el Sim por culo throughout the match.
