Petr Čech was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the game, Guillaume Bonte threw the ball into play from the sideline. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Petr Čech made a huge save. When the match was over Belgium could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Batalhão do Peçanha throughout the match.
