The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 7 minutes, Frank Peletier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olaf Brytka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camille Baume in the 15th minute of play. Olaf Brytka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Peletier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ksawery Porajewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, France's Frank Peletier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olaf Brytka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 29thth minute of the game Ksawery Porajewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Inter Miami's Ksawery Porajewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxime Durand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Inter Miami getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Boruc Petka hit a great ball. The supporters of Inter Miami booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Chapuis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Ebardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waclaw Marchefka got a throw-in 42 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Wasyl Zahemski. France's Frank Peletier got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Olaf Brytka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Peletier in the 55th minute. With a little luck, Inter Miami's Olaf Brytka got control of the ball when Frank Peletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Inter Miami getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Boruc Petka hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Inter Miami's zone, Camille Baume stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olaf Brytka came out of the goal and Camille Baume tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Barbier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olaf Brytka having to interfere. With a little luck, Inter Miami's Olaf Brytka got control of the ball when Camille Baume tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Frank Peletier came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the France fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Peletier couldn't finish the play. After 71 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Robert Chapuis. 81 minutes into the game, Remy Dupuy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. France's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter Miami the free kick. After a rather tough play, France's Remy Dupuy got a free kick in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in France's zone, Wilfredo Ebardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxime Durand came out of the goal and Wilfredo Ebardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olaf Brytka was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Barbier showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 84 minute of play. Wasyl Zahemski scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maxime Durand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Peletier struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Olaf Brytka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for France. France's Frank Peletier got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remy Dupuy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olaf Brytka having to make a save. When the match was over France could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Inter Miami throughout the match.
