Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernado Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The throw-in from Olav Graversen in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Unione Sportiva's Carles Cannavaro. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Unione Sportiva's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chris Nygaard was slow to take the kick. During this time Denmark's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 24th minute of play forced Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Fernado Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carles Cannavaro kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Unione Sportiva's Fernado Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 26th minute of play. Kenn Skou made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bertram Svenningsen however managed to control. Reşit İnegöllü hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Chris Nygaard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernado Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the game Kenn Skou made a throw-in which Bertram Svenningsen played forward. In the 44th minute, Su Xu Xi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kimon Yfantis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christiano Ronaldo was the one to do the kick off. Kenn Skou made in the 54th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bertram Svenningsen however managed to control. In the 63rd minute of the game Bjarne Kirkegaard made a throw-in which Bertram Svenningsen played forward. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernado Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Unione Sportiva's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Fernado Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Steen took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernado Alves. Fernado Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Chris Nygaard in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernado Alves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 78thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Unione Sportiva's Fernado Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Unione Sportiva's goalie prevented a goal. Unione Sportiva's Fernado Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 82nd minute of play. Fernado Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kenn Skou got a throw-in 89 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bertram Svenningsen. Kenn Skou made in the 91st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bertram Svenningsen immediately put the ball in play. Unione Sportiva's Fernado Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 95th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
