Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Roberto Nóbrega was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Germany's Frank Sachs got a free kick in the 16th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Kauan Bittencourt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn, 2-0. Zé Roberto Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Zé Roberto Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Bola Quadrada FC's Kauan Bittencourt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Frank Sachs hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan Bittencourt in the 39th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. In the 41st minute, Tibo Huijsmans fired a really elegant long shot, but Tommy Kahn threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. After having played for 43 minutes, Betão dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bola Quadrada FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Kauan Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Willy Stieler. In the 56th minute Zé Roberto Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ni Guo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cipriano Firmin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 68th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the game, Bola Quadrada FC's Kauan Bittencourt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 81st minute Kauan Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Nóbrega in the 82nd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Róbson Mangueira had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chris Mergenthaler during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bola Quadrada FC booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 98th minute. Bola Quadrada FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
