In the 3rd minute Albano Abadia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Albano Abadia sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the match, Latocayteva F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Apolo Rius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albano Abadia in the 10th minute. Latocayteva F.C.'s Apolo Rius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Rius. Latocayteva F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Latocayteva F.C.'s Albano Abadia in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Nesor Vacas charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nesor Vacas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Latocayteva F.C.'s Nesor Vacas got a free kick in the 39th minute. Apolo Rius came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Latocayteva F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julen Avila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Rius having to interfere. In the 65th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Rius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Rius made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Apolo Rius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Nesor Vacas came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Latocayteva F.C.'s goalkeeper Apolo Rius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Latocayteva F.C. booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bas Tuitert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Nesor Vacas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. Netherlands played a much better game than Latocayteva F.C. and deserved their victory. The Latocayteva F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
