Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viriato Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Lopes went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Tao Xi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 25th minute of play. Tao Xi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 28th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipe Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tao Xi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Flames FC's Tao Xi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Moura in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tao Xi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Portugal booed when Flames FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alican İçten made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Viriato Moura made a precise shot to the right of Tao Xi. Flames FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 61 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tao Xi. Flames FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 65 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Alican İçten came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alican İçten in the 72nd minute of play. The Flames FC fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Flames FC's Camille Trudeau looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Flames FC's Arturo Di Girolamo was substituted for Miguel Campos. A collision led to Flames FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Arturo Di Girolamo hit a great ball. The throw-in from Arturo Di Girolamo in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Graciano Coutinho. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Flames FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Berkowitz in the 92nd minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Arturo Di Girolamo got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-2. 92 minutes into the match. Flames FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
