Mikolaj Jerzyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Hegedus Henrik heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 8th minute of play forced Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Adam Pacholewski took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fodor Daniel to make any attempt to save it. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Julian Obuchowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Vollmar. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Paulo Zonta was slow to take the kick. During this time Newcastle United's players had a chance to rest. Zé Paulo Zonta made a great header on Newcastle United's corner, it was just that Hungary's Fodor Daniel managed to reach the ball for a save. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 53rd minute of play. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boros Benedek kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Newcastle United's Zé Paulo Zonta couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hungary. 62 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mikolaj Jerzyk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Boros Benedek got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the game, Thomas Vollmar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Fodor Daniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pankracy Malicki in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Hungary's Antal Valentin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mikolaj Jerzyk. That made the score 3-2 after 73 minutes of play. Adam Pacholewski kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adam Pacholewski went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 86th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pankracy Malicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Newcastle United were victorious despite being under pressure from Hungary for much of the match.
