The supporters of Belgium booed when Haganäsgränd TT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 7 in the game by Nils Billing from a close distance when the talented Casper Claes managed to make a qualified save. Belgium's players were relieved. Ian Brun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Roland Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haganäsgränd TT were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Belgium's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bengt-Åke Hökkvist took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Bengt-Åke Hökkvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Casper Claes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nils Billing had several of the Belgium's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 13 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Casper Claes as he didn't even see the shot coming. Haganäsgränd TT's Ian Brun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, one of Belgium:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 20 minutes Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes managed, with a little bit of luck, save Roland Karlsson's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Ian Brun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lenny Clocheret kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Sander Dermaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt-Åke Hökkvist didn't quite understand what happened when in the 37 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Guillaume Bonte got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Haganäsgränd TT's Roland Karlsson in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belgium's goalie prevented a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Vanderstraeten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mikael Lundström made in the 52nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bengt-Åke Hökkvist. In the 53rd minute, Edward Vanderstraeten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian Brun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Siebe Michiels was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Belgium's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ian Brun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 76th minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Ian Brun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. Frans Hjortsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
