In the 2nd match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bohumir Kohout to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the game, Dragoş Afloarei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vavrinec Holub was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. John Said's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Vavrinec Holub skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bohumir Kohout charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bohumir Kohout the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Bohumir Kohout. 10 minutes into the match, Dragoş Afloarei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dragoş Afloarei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. With a little luck, Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub got control of the ball when John Said tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Filfla United's zone, Alan Rezek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Etienne Blanco came out of the goal and Alan Rezek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Dragoş Afloarei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vavrinec Holub was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. John Said sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alan Rezek hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Said. In the 32nd minute, John Said ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vavrinec Holub was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Vavrinec Holub was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Dragoş Afloarei capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dragoş Afloarei really showed his touch with that goal: 6-0. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragoş Afloarei in the 40th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Afloarei came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Erik Jilek made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vavrinec Holub saved Czech Republic from getting behind. The Filfla United fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Filfla United's Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Said, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. John Said recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Filfla United were awarded a corner. Egon Lång went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in Tony Soprano drilling the ball in to score 8-0 behind Czech Republic's goalkeeper. 62 minutes into the match, Dragoş Afloarei notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 65 minutes into the game, Filfla United's Egon Lång nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vavrinec Holub made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. 68 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Kvetoslav Janku. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu in the 72nd minute of the match. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu in the 77th minute of play. Dragoş Afloarei took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. When Filfla United's John Said in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Czech Republic's goalie prevented a goal. 85 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Filfla United's Dragoş Afloarei in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. John Said fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu in the 91st minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kvetoslav Janku charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kvetoslav Janku the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kvetoslav Janku kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Filfla United's John Said nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vavrinec Holub made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. There was no doubt that Filfla United were the better team. Filfla United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
