Torbjörn Stephansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Örtendal got free with Fodor Daniel in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Per Örtendal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fodor Daniel. That made the score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Örtendal in the 61st minute of play. Torbjörn Stephansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 62nd minute. After 63 minutes Assyriska-Syrianska's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Örtendal in the 67th minute of play. Antal Valentin came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Torbjörn Stephansson could save by the left post. After some careless play in the Assyriska-Syrianska defense, Antal Valentin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Torbjörn Stephansson. The Assyriska-Syrianska fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torbjörn Stephansson should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conny Ahlstedt in the 83rd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Rutger Grep stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Rutger Grep tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Assyriska-Syrianska's Rutger Grep got a free kick in the 87th minute.
