Edvin Jonsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Henley Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Edvin Jonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Henley Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Siricio Liotta came free, but Edvin Jonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Henley Utd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Bergsten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edvin Jonsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Rasmus Mårtensson came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edvin Jonsson came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Siricio Liotta. But to his dismay, Siricio Liotta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 34 minutes into the match, Henley Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Edvin Jonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Tunström came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Henry Modig with Richarlison de Andrade as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Edvin Jonsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siricio Liotta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Deodato Magliozzi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edvin Jonsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 64 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Gomberto Picozzi. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richarlison de Andrade in the 65th minute of the match. Edvin Jonsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 67th minute. Edvin Jonsson made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaccheo Andolina got free with Edvin Jonsson in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasmus Mårtensson in the 81st minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Zaccheo Andolina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Siricio Liotta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Henry Modig in the 90 minute of the game. Siricio Liotta might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvin Jonsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Siricio Liotta ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Italy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
