With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antoni Derlanga in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Auer saved Austria from getting behind. Jonas Nalder struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Bogumil Hludzenski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazimierz Rostow in the 24th minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogumil Hludzenski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Schneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Marvin Harrer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Austria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roman Tim Tfaruk the free kick. Roman Tim Tfaruk made a substitution. Bogumil Walkowski replaced Kazimierz Rostow. After a rather tough play, Austria's Marvin Harrer got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Pawel Pan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roman Tim Tfaruk's supporters rose to their feet, but Pawel Pan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Auer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kacper Naskrent hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 46th match minute, Roman Tim Tfaruk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olaf Kornasiewicz to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pawel Pan made the kick off in the second half. Fabio Auer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pawel Pan in the 53rd minute of play. Jonas Nalder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogumil Hludzenski having to interfere. Sandro Galishoff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Nalder during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonas Nalder hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Austria's Leonhard Maier got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 72 played minutes Roman Tim Tfaruk got a freekick which was hit by Antoni Derlanga. Austria's Fabio Auer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pawel Pan in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Bogumil Walkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Auer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes Roman Tim Tfaruk got a freekick which was hit by Pankracy Biskupiak. After 89 minutes of play, Roman Tim Tfaruk's Pawel Pan made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabio Auer was left in no man's land by his defense there!
