Ellis Schenck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcus Allbäck went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pan Guo Qian got free with Benny Bur in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Sledgehammer KO defense, Ubaldo Padro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benny Bur. The Sledgehammer KO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benny Bur should have stopped the shot. Ellis Schenck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isa Savage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Benny Bur successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Åhman in the 25th minute of play forced Zlatan BK's goalkeeper Ellis Schenck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Per-Åke Lundberg in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Zlatan BK's Uygar Orhan. Sledgehammer KO's Benny Bur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Sledgehammer KO from getting a goal against them. The Zlatan BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Ellis Schenck was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Leonard Åhman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonard Åhman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. When Ubaldo Padro came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Zlatan BK fans jumped to their feet. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 2-2. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Zlatan BK's Ubaldo Padro started the play with his kick off.
