Olimpiu Josan started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 7th minute of play forced Tornadele Siret's goalkeeper Ricardinho Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Takacs Tibor made a precise shot to the right of Ricardinho Lopes. Tornadele Siret's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tornadele Siret's Ricardinho Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 12th minute of play. Olimpiu Josan struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tornadele Siret. Ricardinho Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 16th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Tornadele Siret's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Ricardinho Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Gavril Enătescu sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Tornadele Siret getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Dinu Vermeşan hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardinho Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavril Enătescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tornadele Siret's Dejan Hamilton got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardinho Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. Tornadele Siret's Ricardinho Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tornadele Siret's goalkeeper Ricardinho Lopes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Balazs Lajos hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The Tornadele Siret fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Tornadele Siret's Olimpiu Josan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ricardinho Lopes made a huge save. After 54 minutes, Adam Vârnav made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hungary's Fodor Daniel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd match minute, Tornadele Siret was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Josan to maneuver through the defense. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardinho Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Tornadele Siret's Adrian Mutu got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Hungary booed when Tornadele Siret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dejan Hamilton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Major Barna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Josan, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Dejan Hamilton's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dejan Hamilton helped the player get up and apologised. Dejan Hamilton hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Hungary booed when Tornadele Siret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavril Enătescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ricardinho Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary.
