Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the game, Portugal's Felipe Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miroslaw Gollob made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A sloppy throw-in by Axel Coomans in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Bruno Bastos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurand Cempa got free with Wilson Amorim in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jurand Cempa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Wilson Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zacisze Częstochowa's Jurand Cempa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 39 played minutes Zacisze Częstochowa got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Zárate. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Verdu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zenon Cisek in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Dariusz Cerocki's late challenge caught a Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dariusz Cerocki helped the player get up and apologised. 53 minutes into the game, one of Zacisze Częstochowa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Miroslaw Gollob had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Felipe Barreto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 54th minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Miroslaw Gollob made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 58th minute. After 60 played minutes Zacisze Częstochowa got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Verdu. Cristo Verdu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Gaston Zárate fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zacisze Częstochowa's protests and gave Gaston Zárate a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Zacisze Częstochowa defense, Felipinho Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miroslaw Gollob. The Zacisze Częstochowa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miroslaw Gollob should have stopped the shot. When Gaston Zárate was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. Gaston Zárate kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Zacisze Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Miroslaw Gollob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miroslaw Gollob took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jurand Cempa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Portugal players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Zacisze Częstochowa from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
