When Anier Terciero fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Social y Dep. Patagonia's protests and gave Anier Terciero a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Denmark booed when Social y Dep. Patagonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Terciero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute Renato Mac Clure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Faro having to interfere. Theis Winther made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Social y Dep. Patagonia's Agustin Cordeal. Tobias Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Renato Mac Clure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Renato Mac Clure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Mac Clure in the 30th minute of the match. After 35 minutes of play, Denmark's Chris Nygaard made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Faro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute Renato Mac Clure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renato Mac Clure to strike the kick off in the second half. If Renato Mac Clure had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Renato Mac Clure came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Social y Dep. Patagonia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Mac Clure couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theis Winther to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Renato Mac Clure sped through Denmark's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. Renato Mac Clure's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keld Paulsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The corner led Social y Dep. Patagonia's Virgilio Gartzen to fire away a dangerous shot which Keld Paulsen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Social y Dep. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Steen came free, but Tobias Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Renato Mac Clure came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Social y Dep. Patagonia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Mac Clure couldn't finish the play. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Mac Clure in the 74th minute of play. Renato Mac Clure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Nygaard got free with Tobias Faro in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Theis Winther hit a great ball. Renato Mac Clure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Mac Clure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
