A hard shot 43 in the game by Enzo Maiorga from a close distance when the talented Arnout Reekers managed to make a qualified save. Netherlands's players were relieved. Fabian Oto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 64th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabian Oto firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 71st minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabian Oto, passed just outside the right post. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Fabian Oto threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 2-2 when German Gil sped through Netherlands's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. In the 92nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Mooiweer to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Lars Meesters. The supporters of Absolut Rasta FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bas Tuitert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Cebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Absolut Rasta FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Netherlands had controlled the match.
