After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Aykut Bartu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Aykut Bartu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the game, Bruno Bastos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portugal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altza Herria the free kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Altza Herria players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
