After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Cutberto Tobia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Toribio Puelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Ahonzo in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 42nd minute of play forced Purchil's goalkeeper Toribio Puelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Purchil's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Toribio Puelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toribio Puelles made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Ahonzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
