Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Brad Foley from long distance, 15 minutes into the match, got Arnout Reekers's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 19 minutes into the match, a k l p j f c a's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Mateo Mergildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Hette Visscher sent off a good shot on target. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute.
