Gabby Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 19th minute of play. With a little luck, Spain's Gabriel Ascaso got control of the ball when Eleuterio Mirande tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ilulea FC's Pablo Tolino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gabriel Ascaso. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. Fernando Redondo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Gabby Arias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adria Bielsa's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ilulea FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Omar Toledo was slow to take the kick. During this time Spain's players had a chance to rest. Spain's Jonathan Criado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gabby Arias in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 40 played minutes Ilulea FC got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Tolino. Gabby Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 41st minute of the match.
