Teodoro Camargo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. Major Barna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ali Jegham having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antal Valentin in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Jegham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.S.Saint Ethiene's goalkeeper Ali Jegham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 32 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fiori Cerezo who took care of the corner kick. Ali Jegham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Hungary booed when A.S.Saint Ethiene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to A.S.Saint Ethiene getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Mariano Millrick hit a great ball. Major Barna kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Penha in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A.S.Saint Ethiene were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fiori Cerezo took the corner. After 62 minutes, Ricardo Vergílio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.S.Saint Ethiene and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Hegedus Henrik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 90 minutes A.S.Saint Ethiene's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Vörös Henrik almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A.S.Saint Ethiene's Ali Jegham did a great save.
