The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 20th minute Cipriano Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilson Amorim was a little too slow when Cipriano Proença got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-1. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 27th minute of the match. Tigre das Américas's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 29th minute of play. If Fabricio Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Tigre das Américas's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Pimentel came free, but Édouard Mendy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Daniel Pimentel in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Tigre das Américas's Raphael Madureira. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Cipriano Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tigre das Américas's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Tigre das Américas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Portugal:s goal. The goalkeeper, Édouard Mendy, was totally fooled by Portugal's Felipe Barreto, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Cipriano Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 67th minute of the match. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Rodolfo Miranda made in the 70th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tigre das Américas's Raphael Madureira. 72 minutes into the match, Tigre das Américas's goal looked a bit too open when Felipinho Amorim came free, but Édouard Mendy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 played minutes Tigre das Américas got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Guimarães. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 78th minute of play forced Tigre das Américas's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipinho Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Édouard Mendy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipinho Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes into the match, Tigre das Américas's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim.
