In the 47th minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Édouard Mendy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Proença made a kick off. Zaccheo Andolina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Proença in the 54th minute of play. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Zaccheo Andolina sped through Tigre das Américas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Édouard Mendy. In the 65th minute, Zaccheo Andolina made a precise shot to the right of Édouard Mendy. Tigre das Américas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 69 minutes into the match, Tigre das Américas's goalkeeper Édouard Mendy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. If Leopoldo Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the game, Raphael Madureira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tigre das Américas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Italy the free kick. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Porziano Marchitelli. Flavio Vittori was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 87 played minutes Tigre das Américas got a freekick which was hit by Alo Malo. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Siricio Liotta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Siricio Liotta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Édouard Mendy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Siricio Liotta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes of play, Italy's Adriano Curto made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Édouard Mendy was left in no man's land by his defense there!
