Fred Lund's late challenge caught a Czech Republic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Lund helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Karlsborg getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Fred Lund hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the game, Joel Classon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karlsborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Czech Republic the free kick. Joel Classon hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Gunnar Hellkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karlsborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Gunnar Hellkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vavrinec Holub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Joel Classon came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Karlsborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Classon couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Daniel Vitek got a free kick in the 13th minute. Anton Stenman hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes, Dalimil Charvat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Czech Republic and the Karlsborg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erik Jilek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kenny Ekeberg. The supporters of Karlsborg booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kvetoslav Janku didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Czech Republic's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anton Stenman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Anton Stenmans short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Vavrinec Holub to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 37 played minutes Karlsborg got a freekick which was hit by Roy Jonsson. After 43 played minutes Karlsborg got a freekick which was hit by Joel Classon. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Classon to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Dalimil Charvat. Kvetoslav Janku charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kvetoslav Janku the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd minute, Kvetoslav Janku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Stenman in the 54th minute of play. Gunnar Hellkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vavrinec Holub read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Anton Stenman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 62nd minute Anton Stenman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Anton Stenman made a precise shot to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After some careless play in the Karlsborg defense, Erik Jilek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Björn Blomkvist. The Karlsborg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Björn Blomkvist should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Karlsborg booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Vitek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Joel Classon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vavrinec Holub was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Kvetoslav Janku hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jimmy Kilstedt during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, Alan Rezek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Czech Republic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. If Anton Stenman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alan Rezek hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Karlsborg players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
