Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Abeyta, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Dikili Sahil Spor's Sabri Dino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 16th minute of play. After 38 played minutes Dikili Sahil Spor got a freekick which was hit by Di Bin Feng. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feyyaz Ucan in the 41st minute. In the 48th minute Feyyaz Ucan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oktay Derelioğlu to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Lars Meesters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Sabri Dino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 63 played minutes, Dikili Sahil Spor's Zeki Önatlı shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnout Reekers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dikili Sahil Spor reached it. The Dikili Sahil Spor fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Dikili Sahil Spor's Severino Abeyta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 72 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Şenol Fidan came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Feyyaz Ucan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. Zeki Önatlı, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oktay Derelioğlu in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dikili Sahil Spor's Di Bin Feng got a free kick in the 87th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Dikili Sahil Spor's Oktay Derelioğlu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. The Dikili Sahil Spor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
