In the 18th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Nahitantino's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heintje Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Che in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Nahitantino booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boros Benedek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Isadore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. After some careless play in the Hungary defense, Radomir Fudalej kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. The Hungary fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodor Daniel should have stopped the shot. Nahitantino's Heintje Passos was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 46th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.

The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Fudalej in the 53rd minute of play. Balazs Lajos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sergio Romero came out and tried to block the shot, but Balazs Lajos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Katona Janos got a free kick in the 67th minute. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heintje Passos in the 70th minute of play.
