Ahmet Refik Bozer thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Francisco Barrionuevo, a very annoying self made goal in the 28th minute which led to 0-2. 31 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tunç Akkaya. 36 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Tunç Akkaya came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
