An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 5th minute of play forced Castores FC's goalkeeper Ferenc Mészáros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Castores FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ferenc Mészáros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 13th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferenc Mészáros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Valentin in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferenc Mészáros saved Castores FC from getting behind. Ferenc Mészáros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ferenc Mészáros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peker Uçuk got free with Fodor Daniel in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hegedus Henrik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferenc Mészáros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferenc Mészáros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Major Barna got a free kick in the 39th minute. After some careless play in the Hungary defense, Dorin Briceag kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. The Hungary fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodor Daniel should have stopped the shot. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferenc Mészáros having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Castores FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Hungary's Vörös Henrik to a score. 1-1 in the 54th minute. 57 minutes in the game, Antal Valentin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ferenc Mészáros having to interfere. Ferenc Mészáros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hegedus Henrik, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Castores FC's Ferenc Mészáros got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ferenc Mészáros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. The corner led Hungary's Antal Valentin to fire away a dangerous shot which Ferenc Mészáros despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
